Built in the late 1940’s number 18 is a centre house in a block of quasi semis, which is a posh name for a terrace of four houses. Located at the very top of a cul de sac the area is very quiet and has proved ideal for Misty. Hestham Crescent is one of the highest points of Morecambe so we are safe from any floods. Being high above all the surrounding properties the views from the back bedroom window are truly amazing and we can see Morecambe Bay to the left over the Midland hotel and beyond that a breathtaking view of the Lakeland fells and mountains. Looking the other way we have a clear view over the Pennines and also the Trough of Bowland. Being near the coast we are prone to getting a lot of wind which is something Ian knows all about!

The house has three bedrooms, lounge, breakfast room / galley kitchen and bathroom. By some clever conversion work by a previous owner the outhouses have been connected to the house so we also have a three room utility suite. Attached to that is a summer house that we have converted into a dining room. The owner before last had a phobia about building cupboards. When we were viewing the house we could not believe how much storage was available. The Estate Agent even commented that he had never seen a house before with so much storage. The master bedroom has a huge walk in wardrobe dressing room behind the full length mirrors – the second bedroom had (since demolished by Ian to create more space in his bedroom) also had built in wardrobes – the small bedroom had a range of built in computer desks which we had to remove to get a bed in, and also built in wardrobes- The landing has an angle cupboard – the hall has built in cupboards housing the central heating boiler as well as draw and cupboard space under the stairs – the kitchen has so many cupboards tat we still have not been able to fill them all yet.

Outside at the front we have a parking drive and large paved front garden with featured beds. The rear garden, as we have said, is low maintenance with two decked patio areas, a brick barbeque area and flag and gravel area. Most of the greenery is in ceramic pots hence the low maintenance.

As the old saying goes a picture paints a thousand words so let’s get on and have  a look around…….
